Dave the Wonder Dog - a great sheep herder                    Dave's Boss, Carolyn

Caught between the people and that DOG!

Carolyn with her sheep crook. This picture is courtesy of Susan Mayrant; a guest at the wonderful wine tasting.

A sheep dog is well trained to cut-out one sheep.

Dave watches while Carolyn explains how this sheep might be sheared or .....

get medical treatment, shots or a quick health exam.

Dave waits while the younger dogs get ready for their chance.

The handler stays with the flock as the young dog works. This dog is eighteen months old.

Training is a long proposition and always needs reinforcement.

Carolyn did a great job of explaing the training and the herding process.

Never ate lamb in my life - nice sheep.

The show's almost over.

Happy faces. The two gentlemen at this table were celebrating birthdays.

A wine tasting is a great place to meet new friends from almost anywhere.

You can't help notice that the sound level is directly proportional to the wine consumed.
