The Yellow Tail Winery, in the S. E. Victoria ‘Riverland Region’, has begun it’s climb into the Global wine arena. Irrigated by the Murray River (one of Australia’s 3 main Rivers) this area is considered to be the “Fruit Bowl” of the continent. Australia’s most beautiful Kangaroo is the “Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby” (Yellow Tail) because of it’s distinct yellow markings and is an endangered species now being preserved ! Cheviot Bridge is a name to watch in the world of wine. Based in Melbourne, it brings together a group of Australia’s leading wine professionals devoted to making great wine. Cheviot Bridge began as a dream 3 years ago when 4 vineyard owners decided to produce and market wine from their own vineyards from the emerging Yea Valley instead of sending their fruit to larger wine producers for blending. Since their first release in May 2001, Cheviot Bridge has gained acclaim in the Australian domestic market and now are ready to ‘take on’ the USA.
