Welcome you to an afternoon of Food & Wine featuring:
"Hogue Cellars" of Columbia Valley, Washington

check the menu and wines (click here)

The Columbia Valley, in the State of Washington, is the premiere grape growing region of the entire state. The Hogue family began farming in the Yakima Valley in 1941 as hop growers. During the early ‘40s farmers in Eastern Washington found a growing demand for hops and so it continued until the middle 1970s when California Wines began receiving international acclaim. It was then that Mike Hogue convinced his family to plant six acres of Riesling Grapes and with the first harvest some ‘used’ processing equipment was purchased and their wines were entered in some local competitions around the state. The results were very, very encouraging and it was Robert Mondavi who advised them to continue ‘on their path’ to success !
