Avian's Purpose :

• * Rehabilitation and medical care of orphaned & injured wild birds

• * Information and advice about birds.

• * Educational presentations

• * Field research

As this and other counties’ farmland is used for the development of more human housing, the natural habitat of all native wildlife species becomes an ever ‘shrinking’ area and we as humans are coming upon these animals more frequently. Professional care is available for birds brought to the Avian Wildlife Center. First aid and medical treatments are given at the facility under the advice of veterinarians. Surgery and other complex procedures are handled at a veterinary hospital. Birds are housed where appropriate diets, intensive care, physical therapy and flight aviaries are provided to ensure their recovery. The goal is to release all healthy birds back to the wild !

The AWC is licensed by NJ’s Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife/U.S. Wildlife Service to rehabilitate wild birds.

·      The $50.00 / person charge includes a $10.00 Donation to the Avian Wildlife Center and is the only way this organization receives funding !
