Fetzer Winery of Mendocino

This former ranch was originally a major center for the production of livestock,

poultry, hogs and pears in the late 1800’s. Hogs and pears gave way to grapes in the early 1980's. The commitment was made to grow all grapes organically and what

started as an organic garden project grew into a quality mission for all vineyards.

The vines were healthy and the fruit was rich and clean – great for premium wines.

Fetzer did many media tastings and winemaker dinners then got pretty famous for

the parties they threw and people began to notice the quality of their wines !

Fetzer is the 6th largest winery in the U.S.
