The Blackstone Winery was founded in 1990 with a mission
to produce ‘approachable’ and well balanced wines.
Much to the surprise of Blackstone and the entire country, their first
venture with California Merlot became unbelievably popular. This lead to
increased production, expanding planted land development and an extensive
portfolio of wines and multi-appellation blends “at every price range.”
Experienced wine maker, Dennis Hill, has spent many years in
Europe at Blackstone’s request incorporating more traditional European
fermentation and aging techniques that produce a greater harmony in wine !
