Roaring Rock Restaurant - presents a taste of …

“Big Stash’s Restaurant”
Sunday, March 11 th

In rebuilt Poland the traditions are as great as ever !

In first-class hotels, waiters still go into a ‘huddle’ with you to see that you dine in gourmet style and in the workday restaurants not having extensive menus … they serve traditional dishes that are well worth eating.

Invitations to lunch, tea, dinner and supper are extended to not only friends but to casual acquaintances as well ! Because Polish cookery is so little known in this country, people have some odd misconceptions about it but it has a character all it’s own …

Having evolved over the centuries being influenced in a country situated at the ‘crossroads’ of East & West. That’s why we are going to stay with ‘the basics’ that we all know: “Kielbasa & Kraut, Pirogues, Stuffed Cabbage” etc. In the future, we will be introducing very traditional dishes full of flavor with spices & sauces that can’t be purchased but must be made from scratch!

[Important Note: “Jezynowka Polish Blackberry Brandy” is here !!]

What's Big Stash's Restaurant?

It’s one of the very rare Eastern European Ethnic Restaurants remaining on the East Coast and it’s located on South Wood Ave. 1 ½ blocks below Route #1 in Linden, NJ !

The history of the thousand-year-old Polish state is stormy & governments may come & go but the Poles consistently take their food seriously. Nothing pleases them more than to have it shared and appreciated The Poles are great believers in their old proverb; “When a guest is in the house, the good Lord is there too”!

Some of the foods you’ll be tasting:

  • Cabbage & Bacon Soup (Kapusniak)
  • Kielbasa & Kraut (Pulaski’s Market), Pirogues (St. Elizabeth’s Church)
  • Corned Beef & Pastrami on Rye (Big Stashs’), Stuffed Cabbage (Big Stashs’)
  • Polish Pickle Works, Newark & of course, Kosciusko’s Mustard & Lots More !

Carol will be shopping at Pulaski’s Market for all food !

There’s no menu from which to order – We bring it out and
Your part is .. “to eat it”!

Cost: $25.00 (+ tax) / all food you’d like !

(Drinks will be your responsibility)

.. 1:00 PM - ‘till Late Afternoon ..

“Bring your Friends”
