‘Tis the season to be planning your holiday activities for the next few weeks. As much as we hate to see the Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving, we thought we should send you this list of upcoming events. You can check it twice, and you’ll want to mark your calendar with the various holiday concerts, tree lightings, and opportunities to buy or even create your special gifts. Warren County is the place to do it all, so whether you are traveling by car or a sleigh and eight reindeer, Happy Wandering!

Friday-Saturday, Nov. 22-23: "Park Your Car in Harvard Yard.’’ Presented by the Centenary Stage Company, this play is a hilarious, deeply moving tale about the toughest, meanest teacher ever to set foot in Gloucester High School and the housekeeper he hires to look after him, forgetting that he had flunked her...and her mother and father before her. Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1: Waterloo Village’s Christkindlmarkt. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with music, specialty food and craft vendors, carriage and pony rides, caroling, and children's activities in the historic village. Homes are open for holiday tours, and there are guided tours along the Morris Canal and to other Waterloo sites. Also on Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 14-15. Sunday, Dec. 1: Traditional Christmas at Shippen Manor. Home to the families that supervised the Oxford Furnace Ironworks from the Colonial through the Victorian age, the circa 1753 manor is decorated for the holidays. Sunday, Dec. 1: Warren County Historical Learning Center at Bread Lock Park. A project developed under an agreement between the non-profit Highlands Project and the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the center features local history models and displays including the Oxford Furnance, Shippen Manor, Morris Canal and Lenape Indians. Opening Friday, Dec. 6: Young Performers Workshop. Saturday, Dec. 7: Victorian Holiday at Millbrook Village. A holiday celebration at the restored 19th Century village in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Enjoy the village in Victorian decoration. Participate in a children's Christmas activities program with old-fashioned toys, games and decoration-making in the VanCampen Farmhouse. Free admission.
