Chef Bios
Carol Wilson – Chef / Owner
Graduated from the Baltimore Culinary Arts School and took
an assignment in
San Francisco California at the Miyaka Hotel in the center of the Japanese
Cultural Center under legendary Chef
Yoshi Hiakawa. Hiakawa
was trained in classical French cuisine in Paris then emigrated to
the USA to take up residency at the Miyaka Hotel.
Carol spent three years working
with this master chef infusing French and Asian cuisines. Pastry
was an integral part of her assignment here … both European as
well as Asian and sometimes, combining them both. Carol
has, to her credit, culinary awards in Northern California State Wide
Competitions and the Bay Area of San Francisco.
Martin Merillo's stint at the Black Horse Inn at
Mendham, NJ was noteworthy …. Martin brings many ideas with him and believe it
or not when graduated from college in Costa Rica he was recruited to remain at
the school as their publisher and computer graphics professor !
He remained there for 20 years before immigrating to
the U. S.
